Thank you for your interest in the scholarship program of the Minnesota Women’s Golf Association Foundation. This could be a very exciting opportunity for you. Please read this form in its entirety and be certain all requested information is accurate and complete.

Each scholarship is for the amount of $2,000 per year, renewable for 4 consecutive years ($8,000 maximum) and made available to high school senior girls who intend to enroll in college the year they submit this application. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and domiciled in the state of Minnesota. Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition, books, room and board. A scholarship recipient must be enrolled and continue as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.

The MWGA Foundation scholarship is based on academic performance (minimum 3.0 average), continued financial need and quality of character as demonstrated by civic and academic activities. Although skill or excellence in the game of golf is not a criterion, candidates shall demonstrate an interest or involvement in the sport.

Each recipient will be required to meet these standards on an annual basis prior to each year’s scholarship distribution. Any inability to maintain these standards and requirements will be reviewed by the Foundation directors and will result in the loss of scholarship funds.
